Short Life Inmould

Short Life IML

Short life IML labels are intended for short cyclical products such as those often used in the food sector. We supply these labels in a variety of basic substrates.

Orange Peel film

This specific product was developed for a customer that encountered problems during the pasteurisation process. The label was manufactured on a 60 my Orange Peel Foil, but options also include solid foil or transparent with white. The product was printed in UV Flexo in 6 colours.imgimldsolidwhite

Characteristics:

  • suitable for food products
  • no warping: shrinks easily with the PP during die-casting
  • extra grip and satin finish on the end product due to orange peel effect
  • white and full-cover
  • overlapping of the film possible
  • the direction of run of the foil is important for the end result

Solid White foil

Solid foil can be used for many applications. At iPB Printing, we use this material mainly for products that require a high graphic quality.

The structure of the foil enables a very high gloss layer to be created. One possible disadvantage of this foil is the direction of run. iPB Printing provides you with free samples in advance so that you can test them against your process and product. Both transparent and white solid foil are available. Because aL Printing can also process this foil in UV Flexo, an opaque white layer is also no problem. This can result in extensive benefits compared to conventional printing techniques.

Characteristics of solid foil, white:

  • suitable for food products
  • after spraying coloured or transparent lids, the calcium carbonate of the back of the foil can become visible
  • shrinkage difference with the sprayed PP material
  • possible distortion in lids, rectangular beakers and packaging with thin walls
  • overlapping of the foil not possible
  • the direction of run of the foil is important for the end result

Solid Transparant foil

Characteristics of solid foil, transparent:

  • suitable for food products
  • shrinkage difference with the sprayed PP material
  • possible distortion in lids, rectangular beakers and packaging with thin walls
  • overlapping of the foil not possible
  • the direction of run of the foil is important for the end result
